revivalism
Religious fervor movement
Revivalism is a movement to restore or reawaken religious faith, typically through emotional preaching and mass gatherings.
The term emerged from Protestant revival meetings aimed at sparking spiritual renewal among believers who had grown lukewarm.
More broadly, revivalism describes any effort to bring back practices, styles, or values from an earlier era: architectural revivalism, folk music revivalism.
