metaphysician
Studies existence itself
A metaphysician is someone who studies or practices metaphysics—the branch of philosophy concerned with the fundamental nature of reality, existence, and being.
Metaphysicians ask questions like what exists, what is the nature of time and space, and whether free will is real.
The term can also describe someone given to abstract or speculative thinking: He was more metaphysician than practical man.
