masoning
Building with stone
Masoning is the work of building or repairing with stone or brick—what a mason does.
The term covers both the act and the craft: The old church required extensive masoning to restore its facade.
Less common than "masonry" for the trade itself, masoning emphasizes the ongoing activity rather than the finished product or profession.
