machine-readable

Scannable by computers

Machine-readable describes data or text formatted so that computers can process it directly: machine-readable code, machine-readable passport.

The term distinguishes automated processing from human reading—a PDF might be human-readable but not machine-readable if the text can't be extracted.

Convert the data to a machine-readable format.
