mRNAs
Protein synthesis blueprints
mRNAs is the plural of mRNA, or messenger RNA—molecules that carry genetic instructions from DNA to the cellular machinery that assembles proteins.
Each mRNA encodes a specific protein, so a cell contains thousands of different mRNAs at any given time: The study measured mRNAs associated with inflammation. mRNA vaccines work by introducing synthetic mRNAs that instruct cells to produce proteins triggering an immune response.
