lake breeze
Water-cooled air current
A lake breeze is a local wind that blows from a lake toward the shore during warm afternoons.
The land heats faster than the water, causing air to rise over land and draw cooler air in from the lake.
Lake breezes provide natural cooling to lakeside communities in summer: The lake breeze made the heat bearable.
