kitesurfed

Rode waves airborne

Kitesurfed is the past tense of kitesurf, a water sport where a rider on a small board is pulled across the surface by a large controllable kite.

The sport combines elements of wakeboarding, windsurfing, and paragliding: We kitesurfed off the coast of Maui.

Also called kiteboarding.
