iceball

Compact frozen projectile

An iceball is a ball of ice—either naturally formed or deliberately made.

In mixology, an iceball is a large spherical piece of ice used in cocktails, prized because it melts slowly and dilutes drinks less than smaller cubes: The bartender served my whiskey with a single iceball.

Kids throw iceballs in winter, a harder and more dangerous variant of snowballs.
