Fair Deal
Just treatment promised
Fair Deal refers to the domestic program of President Harry Truman (1945–1953), extending New Deal liberalism with proposals for national health insurance, civil rights legislation, and expanded Social Security.
Many initiatives were blocked by Congress, but the term entered political vocabulary as shorthand for progressive economic policy.
Lowercase, a fair deal simply means equitable treatment: All I'm asking for is a fair deal.
