handicapper
Assigns horses weights
A handicapper is someone who predicts outcomes in competitive events, especially horse races, or who assigns odds and point spreads for betting purposes: The handicapper favored the bay mare in the fifth race.
In sports, a handicapper may also be one who assigns handicaps to level competition—giving weaker players an advantage.
The term extends to anyone who analyzes and forecasts outcomes: political handicappers predicting the election.
