A handicapped spot is a parking space reserved for people with disabilities, marked by a wheelchair symbol painted on the pavement or posted on a sign.
Using one requires a special permit or license plate.
The term is giving way to accessible parking spot or disability parking spot as *handicapped* falls out of favor.
