Handheld surfing fin
A handboard is a small board ridden while bodysurfing, typically held in front with one or both hands to provide lift and control in the wave.
Unlike a full bodyboard, which supports the entire torso, a handboard is minimal—usually just large enough to fit under one hand or forearm.
I grabbed my handboard and headed out to catch some waves.
The term also appears in skateboarding for miniature fingerboards used as toys.
