globulins

Serum protein group

Globulins are a class of proteins found in blood and other bodily fluids.

They include antibodies (immunoglobulins) that fight infection, as well as proteins that transport hormones and metals through the bloodstream.

A standard blood test measures the ratio of globulins to albumin, another major blood protein: Her globulin levels were elevated.
