Plasma protein family
Globulins are a class of proteins found in blood, milk, muscle, and plant seeds.
In blood plasma, they include antibodies (immunoglobulins) and proteins that transport hormones and metals.
A blood test measuring the ratio of albumin to globulin helps assess liver and kidney function: Her globulin levels were elevated.
