full frame
No crop factor
Full frame describes a camera sensor the same size as a 35mm film negative (36×24mm).
This became the reference standard because 35mm film dominated photography for decades.
Full frame sensors capture more light and produce shallower depth of field than smaller sensors: She upgraded to a full frame camera for better low-light performance.
The term distinguishes these sensors from cropped or APS-C formats.
