Super 8
Cheap roadside rooms
Super 8 is a film format introduced by Kodak in 1965, using 8mm-wide film in easy-loading cartridges.
It became the dominant home movie format through the 1970s and early 1980s, prized for its grainy, nostalgic aesthetic.
Filmmakers still use Super 8 for its distinctive look: We shot the flashback sequences on Super 8.
