Expanded visual scale
Large format describes photography, printing, or display equipment that produces images significantly bigger than standard sizes.
In photography, large format typically means sheet film 4×5 inches or larger, prized for exceptional detail and tonal range: Large format cameras remain popular among landscape photographers.
In printing and signage, large format refers to wide-format printers capable of producing banners, posters, and wall graphics.
