frontal plane
Divides anterior-posterior halves
A frontal plane divides the body into front and back portions, running vertically from side to side.
In anatomy and medicine, it's one of three standard planes for describing body sections and movements—the others being sagittal (left-right) and transverse (top-bottom).
Also called the coronal plane.
