freakshow
Sideshow of oddities
A freakshow, sometimes spelled as two words, was historically a carnival or circus exhibition displaying people with unusual physical characteristics or abilities, often exploiting those with disabilities or rare medical conditions for entertainment.
The term now functions mainly as an insult or dismissive label for any person, group, or situation perceived as bizarre, chaotic, or disturbingly abnormal.
That press conference was a complete freakshow.
The word carries strong connotations of spectacle and mockery.
