four-leaf clover

Rare lawn discovery

A four-leaf clover is a clover with four leaves instead of the usual three, traditionally considered a sign of good luck.

Because the mutation is rare—occurring in roughly one in several thousand plants—finding one supposedly brings fortune.

The four leaves are sometimes said to represent faith, hope, love, and luck.

She pressed the four-leaf clover in a book for safekeeping.
