St. Patrick
Emerald Isle's patron
St.
Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland, a fifth-century Romano-British Christian missionary credited with bringing Christianity to the Irish.
His feast day, March 17th, has become a celebration of Irish heritage marked by parades, green clothing, and drinking: The city dyes the river green for St. Patrick's Day.
Legend holds that he drove the snakes from Ireland.
