Green's tall beacon
The flagstick is the pole with a flag that marks the hole on a golf green.
Players aim toward it from a distance, then remove or leave it while putting—rules have varied on whether leaving it in carries a penalty.
Also called the pin: Her approach shot landed six feet from the flagstick.
