fishing float
Bite indicator buoy
A fishing float is a buoyant device attached to a fishing line that suspends bait at a desired depth and signals when a fish bites.
Also called a bobber.
The float rides on the surface; when it dips or disappears, a fish is taking the bait: Watch the float—if it goes under, set the hook.
