bobber

Angler's line marker

A bobber is a float used in fishing, attached to the line to suspend bait at a desired depth and signal when a fish bites by dipping or moving.

The word also names a style of stripped-down motorcycle with fenders and other parts removed for a minimalist look: He rides a custom bobber.
