film footage
Unedited camera material
Film footage is recorded video or motion picture material, whether raw and unedited or assembled into a finished work.
The term persists from when film was measured in feet: The documentary includes rare footage of the 1936 Olympics.
Footage now applies to any video recording regardless of format: security footage, archival footage, behind-the-scenes footage.
