fibreglass

Woven glass material

Fibreglass is a material made of fine glass fibres woven or matted together, typically reinforced with resin to create a strong, lightweight composite.

It's used in boat hulls, car bodies, insulation, and countless other applications where strength without weight matters: The canoe was made of fibreglass.

Also spelled fiberglass (American).
