exploders

Things that burst

Exploders is the plural of exploder—devices that detonate explosives, or things that explode.

In mining and demolition, an exploder is the mechanism that triggers a blast.

More loosely, exploders can describe anything prone to bursting: The fireworks were duds—half the exploders fizzled out.

People who lose their temper dramatically might also be called exploders.
