election ballot
Marked choice sheet
An election ballot is the document or device voters use to record their choices in an election.
Paper ballots list candidates and measures for voters to mark; electronic ballots display the same on a screen.
The term also refers to the full slate of contests in a given election: There are twelve races on the ballot this year.
To appear on the ballot is to be an official candidate.
