stoopball
Steps bouncing game
Stoopball is a street game, especially associated with New York City, in which a player throws a rubber ball against the steps of a stoop and scores points based on how the ball bounces back.
The game requires only a ball and a set of stairs, making it a fixture of urban childhood: We played stoopball until the streetlights came on.
