go fish

Try another pond

Go fish is a children's card game in which players try to collect sets of four matching cards by asking opponents for specific ranks.

If an opponent lacks the requested card, they say "go fish," sending the asker to draw from the deck.

The phrase also serves as a dismissive reply meaning "you're out of luck" or "try elsewhere": You want me to cover your shift? Go fish.
