Dungeons & Dragons

Dice and quests

Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game where players create characters and embark on fantasy adventures guided by a narrator called the Dungeon Master.

Players roll polyhedral dice to determine outcomes of combat, exploration, and social encounters.

First published in 1974, it established the role-playing game genre and remains its most influential example.

Often abbreviated D&D: We've got a D&D session tonight.
