dreidels

Spinning holiday toys

Dreidels is the plural of dreidel, a four-sided spinning top used in a traditional Jewish game played during Hanukkah.

Each side bears a Hebrew letter, and players spin to determine whether they win or lose tokens from a central pot.

The children played with dreidels after lighting the menorah.
