doge
Such meme, wow
Doge is a title for the elected chief magistrate in the former republics of Venice and Genoa, holding office for life.
The word comes from Latin dux, meaning leader.
The Doge's Palace still stands in Venice.
In internet culture, doge refers to a Shiba Inu dog meme featuring broken English captions like "much wow" and "very excite," which inspired the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. (Capitalized Doge is the historical title.)
