Doge Palace
Gothic Venetian masterpiece
The Doge's Palace is a Gothic landmark in Venice, Italy, formerly the residence of the doge—the elected ruler of the Venetian Republic—and the seat of government.
It stands at the edge of St.
Mark's Square and remains one of Venice's most visited architectural treasures: We toured the Doge's Palace and crossed the Bridge of Sighs.
