divine name
What deities bear
A divine name is a word or phrase used to refer to or address a deity, god, or supreme being.
In monotheistic traditions, the divine name often carries special significance and may be subject to restrictions on its use—in Judaism, for example, the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) is considered too sacred to pronounce aloud.
Divine names may describe attributes (the Almighty), relationships (Our Father), or serve as proper names specific to a religious tradition (Allah, Jehovah).
