Winter windshield spray
A deicer is a substance or device used to remove or prevent ice formation.
Salt and chemical solutions are common deicers for roads and sidewalks; aircraft use heated fluid or mechanical systems.
The term also applies to spray products for windshields: I keep a can of deicer in the car during winter.
