Winter windshield spray
De-icer is a substance or device used to remove ice or prevent its formation.
Chemical de-icers—salt, alcohol-based sprays, glycol solutions—melt ice on windshields, aircraft wings, and roadways.
A de-icer can also be a mechanical scraper or a heated element: I keep a de-icer in the car for winter mornings.
