defocus
Make image unclear
To defocus is to cause something to go out of focus, or to shift attention away from a subject.
A camera lens defocuses when it loses sharpness; eyes defocus when they relax or stare blankly.
Figuratively, to defocus is to broaden attention or deliberately blur concentration: Let your gaze defocus and take in the whole scene.
