throw-in

Over the touchline

A throw-in is the method of returning a soccer ball to play after it crosses the sideline—a player throws it overhead with both hands while keeping both feet on the ground.

More broadly, a throw-in is something added as a bonus or extra: The dealer included floor mats as a throw-in.
