cryodestruction
Tissue freezing ablation
Cryodestruction is the deliberate destruction of tissue by freezing, typically using liquid nitrogen or other extremely cold substances.
The technique is used in medicine to remove warts, skin lesions, and certain tumors: Cryodestruction of the tumor was completed in a single session.
Also called cryoablation.
