cosplayers
Convention costume enthusiasts
Cosplayers are people who dress in costumes to portray specific characters, typically from anime, video games, comics, or films.
The practice—cosplay—blends costume and roleplay, ranging from casual fan appreciation to elaborate craftsmanship competitions.
Cosplayers gather at conventions, photo shoots, and online communities: The cosplayers at Comic-Con spent months on their outfits.
