casual viewers
Not dedicated fans
Casual viewers watch something without deep investment or regular commitment.
They might catch a show occasionally, tune in for a finale everyone's talking about, or watch a sport only during championships.
The term distinguishes them from dedicated fans who follow every episode or game: The show needs to attract casual viewers, not just the hardcore fanbase.
