control bar
Pilot's manual interface
A control bar is the horizontal bar on a hang glider or paraglider that the pilot grips to steer and adjust pitch.
Shifting weight relative to the control bar changes direction and speed.
The term also applies to interface elements in software—toolbars or panels containing buttons and settings for controlling playback, editing, or navigation: Click the control bar to pause the video.
