wooden body
Carved figure's torso
A wooden body is a physical form made of wood, most often referring to the main structural component of a stringed instrument like a guitar, violin, or cello: The guitar's wooden body gives it a warm, resonant tone.
The phrase also describes mannequins, artist's drawing figures, or puppets.
In fiction, it may refer to a character like Pinocchio whose body is literally carved from wood.
