concordance
Word location guide
A concordance is an alphabetical index of the principal words in a text, showing every context in which each appears.
Biblical concordances have long helped scholars locate specific passages: I looked up "mercy" in the concordance.
In broader use, concordance means agreement or harmony between things: The concordance between their findings strengthened the theory.
The verb concord, rarely used, means to agree.
