cedar planks
Fragrant grilling wood
Cedar planks are flat boards cut from cedar wood, most commonly associated with a grilling technique where fish—especially salmon—is cooked directly on the plank.
The wood smolders and smokes, infusing the food with a distinctive smoky, slightly sweet flavor while keeping it moist.
We soaked the cedar planks before putting the salmon on the grill.
