boy scout
Excessively upright person
A Boy Scout is a member of the Boy Scouts of America or similar youth organizations worldwide that emphasize outdoor skills, community service, and character development.
The term is also used figuratively, often with mild derision, to describe someone perceived as excessively wholesome, naïve, or rigidly moral: He's such a boy scout—he won't even jaywalk.
This figurative use can be either admiring or dismissive depending on context.
