boxman
Craps table overseer
A boxman is the casino employee who supervises a craps table, seated between the dealers and responsible for watching the chips, monitoring the game's integrity, and resolving disputes.
The term also appears in criminal slang for a safecracker—someone skilled at opening boxes (safes): They brought in a boxman to crack the vault.
