boost pressure
Turbo manifold pressure
Boost pressure is the air pressure created by a turbocharger or supercharger above normal atmospheric pressure.
Engines compress air before combustion, and forced induction systems increase this pressure to pack more oxygen into the cylinders, producing more power: The gauge showed fourteen pounds of boost pressure.
Often shortened to simply boost: running too much boost.
