blind hem
Invisible garment edge
A blind hem is a sewing technique that creates an invisible or nearly invisible hemline on the outside of a garment.
The stitches catch only a few threads of the outer fabric, leaving the hem hidden from view: She used a blind hem on the formal trousers.
Many sewing machines have a blind hem stitch setting.
